If Vacay could last a lil longer….

Vacay Stories If Vacay could last a lil longer…. Long time since we all met and I was just too busy. Guess what, we were on a traveling and tourism spree and you sure know how time flies when you got so much to see and a bunch of super energetic kids by your side. This trip was a fairly tiresome one, and I and my family took weeks to get back on our daily schedules. Should we or not? We had a splendid time, Actually, this was not at all planned. Yeah, we did want a big break as the children and my husband were on the verge of boredom from daily schedules of studies, work, play, fights, and this cycle continued everyday. That is when our family friend Clint and his wife suggested that they were planning for a trip to Asia. They just wanted to know if we would like to join in. At first, I was skeptical. Not for any other reason, apart from the fact that whether my lil babes would be able to manage this change. My question: How do I engage these tots?

Wow, anything more beautiful than watching baby slumber?

Wow, anything more beautiful than watching baby slumber? “ Kiss your children goodnight, even if they are already asleep.” great quote by H. Jackson Brown, Jr. Heard of this quote before? Well, this is not the only one, there are many famous quotes about sleep and this is just one I personally like a lot. Sleeping Babies and Kisses To tell you the truth, I can look after kids, toddlers, and older children. But, yes, there is a but here. I seriously take a long time taking these fidgety cutie pies to bed. But once that chore is done, though I am drained out- I still cannot manage to get out of their room without giving them a warm kiss on their forehead. My mother- in- law used to make a face at me, telling that I was acting over sentimental. Her comment, ‘You took almost two hours to get them to sleep, with your funny lullabies and cute stories, and then why do you need to nest a kiss just to awaken their senses again? I don’t know understand the yo

Ouch, that redness hurts! What do I do Mama?

Ouch, that redness hurts! What do I do Mama? This is what my toddler asked me after a week long of enjoyment. The holidays have begun and you know kids- they never can sit steady and quiet for a second! I like them running around for most of the time, but when they fall ill or get hurt- then the story turns into an unpleasant one! At present, we are experiencing a humid climate and for those who haven’t got a feel of it- lemme explain it to you. By the way- we were at my parents ‘s farm and all of us loved the stay there! Humidity Sucks! Yeah, we liked the stay- but the climate was awful. Actually, even the kids did not find it to be such a menace, but I was tired of changing their clothes, washing and drying them. When you have 3 naughty toddlers in the house, who change their clothes at least 4 times a day- you can imagine the clothes I need to get washed! So, how does humidity feel? It is like you are drenched and soaked at all times of the day. If you che

Why Chaos Makes Parenting Fun?

Why Chaos Makes Parenting Fun? Socks on the floor, pajamas on the dressing table, The coffee mug is dried and stained and right at the foot of the bed, and finally on the queen size bed there are a pair of twins aged about 5 years of age, their exhausted mom, two books which I think they used for bedtime stories. And last the special inmate of the room- their golden Beagle! That is not all, towels were strewn on the chair, two feeding bottles on the side table and man was this a true mess! The Beauty of Chaos What a view! One word for what I see here right now- is chaos. The irony of all this is that in the midst of all this untidiness, all I could admire is how the mother and her twins slept so blissfully. The kids looked like angels, with brown ruffled hair and all three were so cozy. At that moment, all I wanted to do was to jump into bed right with them. But lol, was I being a bit childish? Oh yes, I admit I was a bit. You must be wondering w

The Journey from Baby Tantrums to Childhood Depression

The Journey from Baby Tantrums to Childhood Depression Soothing the Tantrum Mayhem – be it at a mall, or at home, or maybe at church – was always a task for me! When I was expecting, I was the happiest woman in the world. God had been gracious enough to give us a child. Once my cutie pie was born, I was even more elated. I was like, ‘Now I just need to feed, play and clean my lil one’. I have heard older moms speak out about their sleepless nights, messy clothes, small adventures with their kids. In short, they were tired and exhausted by the end of the day! And when my girl was born, she seemed relatively calm. She would only cry when she needed a slurp of energy dose (fresh breast milk!) or maybe needed a change of her nappies. Well, that was all fine. The rest of the time she was a beautiful sleepyhead. No troubles at all for Mama! So, I could go along cooking, cleaning, and even jotting down my thoughts when I was free. The first B’day passed

Stop taking care of your kids too much coz, it may harm them!

Stop taking care of your kids too much coz, it may harm them! This thought just crossed my mind the other day, as I went to the mall. Being a parent myself, I do understand the hassles of parenting. Now, in a congested place like a mall, it is fun with kids It is like a huge playground for them and these small children really don’t know where to start exploring from! They have tons of things to watch like people, various toys, appliances, games, food and to top it all- there will be a lot of children who are waiting for this moment to meet new friends. But you know what- the hard part is all for the mommies and grandparents who keep in pace with these naughty little legs. And that is damn tiresome and annoying! And at any point, if you have lost sight of them or vice versa- then things will begin to look unpleasant and tension strikes. That is one side to it. The other side is what I want to dwell upon today. Children are naturally inquisitive and love to lay t
